Ingredients

  • Dates: 2 cups (without seeds and chopped)
  • Hot water: half a cup
  • - Cream of Tartar: a quarter of a teaspoon
  • Baking soda: one teaspoon
  • Flour: a cup (almond flour)
  • Smoke: three quarters of a cup
  • Eggs: 2 tablets
  • Vegetable oil: a quarter cup
  • Honey: 3 tablespoons
  • Maple syrup: 2 tablespoons

How to prepare

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Prepare an oven tray and brush it with butter paper.
  3. In a saucepan, put the dates and water, and bring to a boil.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat, then add the cream of tartar and baking soda.
  5. Mix the almond flour and millet in a large mixing bowl.
  6. Whisk the eggs in another bowl, then add the honey and oil while continuing to whisk.
  7. Add the egg mixture over the millet mixture, then mix well, then add the dates and stir using a wooden spoon.
  8. Pour the dough into the prepared tray, then put it in the oven for about 40-45 minutes, then take out the cake and make small holes with a toothpick, pour maple syrup on it, then serve it.
